Sustainability
As a purpose-led organisation and in recognition of the urgent need to protect our planet, Morgan Sindall Construction have a trailblazing environmental strategy, Decarbonising Communities.
This harnesses the combined expertise of Morgan Sindall Construction’s customers, employees, and supply chain to change the way buildings are designed and constructed, in order to reduce the amount of carbon associated with each built asset and help them achieve their own target of Net Zero Carbon by 2030. They are also one of the first construction companies to gain accreditation by the Science-Based Targets Initiative, using targets which represent sector-specific actual reductions in overall emissions.
Passionate about social value
Morgan Sindall Construction have an evidence-based approach which includes the identification, measurement and monetisation of the social value they create, and their decentralised business means they can focus on the outcomes that best meet the needs of local communities and stakeholders.
These might include the recruitment and training of apprentices, the use of local supply chains and labour, supporting mentoring and training programmes for local unemployed or under-represented groups, as well as supporting SMEs.
As a founding member of Work Radar, for instance, they help tradespeople, micro businesses and social enterprises identify opportunities to work on large construction projects local to them, which might otherwise be out of reach.
Creating great results for customers
Every project Morgan Sindall Construction deliver is special. Putting customers at the heart of delivery helps teach their teams so much more about the importance of the facilities they create beyond the build, so that they can help improve the lives of those they impact through providing social infrastructure – places where people live, work, learn, play, care and protect.
