A Coastal Flood Defence to Safeguard the Community
We achieved 91% local labour participation and utilised 100% sustainable energy.
Our delivery partner, McLaughlin & Harvey replaced an existing narrow one-metre-wide footpath which had limited fall protection. The new continuous off-road scheme delivered through our construction framework enables more people to access and enjoy the coastline.
The project has created a better, safer environment to walk and cycle which encourages both locals and visitors to enjoy a healthier lifestyle through being more active.
Transforming Communities: Refurbishment Boosts Local Skills, Revenue, and School Support
Partnering on a project that contributed £1,200 to the Edinburgh School Uniform Bank and invested £9,267 in local skills through the supply chain.
As part of a huge refurbishment of The University of Edinburgh’s historic The Scott Hotel and Richmond Place apartments, AtkinsRéalis delivered this project through the SCAPE Scotland Consultancy framework to enhance the user experience and increase revenue for the client.
