Reflecting on 2021
Collaboration has been a key theme throughout 2021, not only across TeamSCAPE, but the wider industry too.
We all recognise the importance for building back better, smarter and greener; and hopefully that collaboration will continue as we move forward throughout 2022.
In the last year, we launched the next generation of SCAPE Scotland Consultancy and SCAPE Scotland Construction frameworks, and are proud to work with 11 of the leading construction, consultancy and civil engineering organisations from across the industry as our delivery partners. We have also lobbied for change in procurement legislation; pledged to increase our efforts to tackle unethical supply chain practices and boost employment opportunities for survivors of modern slavery, and collaborated with industry to produce research that places net zero carbon above project cost and at the heart of design. Additionally, through developing and launching The Social Partnership Portal in partnership with Local Supply Chain (LSC) and 25 leading construction companies, we've made access to socially and environmentally focused and accredited suppliers easier for industry than ever before.
I'm delighted to share with you below some of the strong social value and performance outcomes we've achieved together:
"Our teams consistently strive to do better, through sustainable project delivery, driving local economic recovery, enabling clients to deliver their critical climate emergency and environmental targets all whilst ensuring local community enrichment across Scotland."

Group Chief Executive | SCAPE
Social value is more than the metrics, it's about the quality of the outcomes we deliver for our clients and the local communities in which we live and work. That's why I'm also pleased to share with you our Considerate Constructors Score, reflecting the respect our delivery partners show on each project for the local communities in which they work.
Thank you to our entire team, our passionate staff, our dedicated delivery partners and their strong, local supply chains. We look forward to building upon these fantastic results in 2022.
